Position Overview

The Project Manager plans, executes, and finalizes global data network projects (VPN, MPLS, Internet) for Virtela’s customers based globally throughout Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas. This position is part of Virtela’s Service Delivery Team with a focus of delivering managed network services solutions to customers by planning and organizing projects.

Location: Denver, CO

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as the customer’s point of contact for all project related issues and concerns.
  • Establishes and facilities regular project review meetings with customer, internal teams, vendors, and partners involved in project.
  • Interfaces and coordinates with internal teams such as customer engineers and account managers to ensure that project objectives are met in a timely manner.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, potential issues, and devise contingency plans.
  • Manages and coordinates multiple projects and project activities simultaneously.
  • Organizes, analyzes and motivates the implementation team to help meet the established project objectives and provide quality service to customers.

Professional Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Data Network Technology – MPLS, VPN, Internet, Cisco etc.
  • Service Provider or System Integrator or Telecommunications experience a must.
  • Experience and knowledge in managed network services, including but not limited to, MPLS, VPN, security services, LAN/WAN, and cloud is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities accordingly.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools including Microsoft Project.
  • Advanced experience in using Excel, Visio, and Word to produce reports and documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work off business hours and different time zones as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or computer science related field preferred.

Position: Information Technology Specialist/Technician

This technical position provides support for all IT areas for C-Level Executive Support, Executive Briefing Center, AV equipment and related technologies. Support includes Specifications, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines. Employee will also assist in the maintenance and testing of network servers, and associated equipment.

Scope of Work

The IT Specialist is responsible for the day to day operational activities of Executive IT/help-desk support, Network administration and A/V systems.

Responsibilities

  • Setup, management, and maintenance of IT-related equipment.
  • Assist with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of all corporate IT systems.
  • Develop and monitor performance levels of software and hardware and evaluate, recommend, and propose alternative methods of video conference system and customer briefing center
  • Develop and maintain information architectures (data, application, and network) ensuring the system is on-line daily.
  • Maintain hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of , video conference system customer briefing center Operations processes.

Qualifying Experience

  • 5+ years’ previous experience supporting executive or C-level IT needs.
  • 7+ years’ experience in supporting Windows and XP desktop/laptop PCs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs, scanners, printer, video conference system Polycom and lifesize.
  • Experience in installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, Servers
  • Excellent Customer Service Experience is a must.

Network Operations Engineer – Denver, Mumbai, Manila

The NOC Network Engineer provides first-line Network Surveillance and Event Management support of the Virtela Network. NOC Service Teams are responsible for high-level network operations support of the Virtela Core Network and multiple Customer Networks, delivered in accordance with standard Virtela Event Management procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the operation of advanced IP network services
  • Receive calls from customers to open trouble tickets
  • Work trouble tickets to resolve customer and network issues

Oracle DBA will serve as systems architect, technical leader and key individual contributor for the overall OSS/BSS systems delivery and operational support team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working for a Telco/ISP/Datacenter Hosting, Managed Services Company, or similar discipline.
  • Experienced Oracle DBA, with architecture, operational support, and data warehouse and BI reporting
  • Experience working with Oracle Support Services familiar with Oracle’s escalation procedures.
  • Experience with 24×7 support of production database environments – complex query performance tuning (of existing applications), Hardware and Software specification and design.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead and transform the OSS and BSS applications to act as an application architect. Working collaboratively with Business SMEs and software engineers, to design and deliver advanced applications with state of the art graphics, intuitive navigation, and next-gen UIs.
