NTT Communications Named as a Leader in IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Service Providers 2019 Vendor Assessment, Two Times in a Row

NTT Communications exceeds the ‘valued partner’ benchmark for customer loyalty needed to transform in the digital age

TOKYO, JAPAN– December 20, 2017-NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and international communications business within the NTT Group (TYO: 9432) announced today that it is the only major global service provider to achieve the ‘valued partner’ accolade in 6 out of 12 categories according to the first edition of Digital Zenith Benchmark, a report recently published by Ocean82 that measures customer-centric evolution.

A total of 582 people, who work for large and multi-national enterprises, were interviewed about their experiences with global service providers, generating about 1000 evaluations and 6000 points of data, over the last 12 months. The data was analyzed using an algorithm to calculate a cooperation coefficient, which is denoted by DZ and named dizeme.

The ‘valued partner’ benchmark represents the point at which the level of cooperation between supplier and customer takes root and flourishes. It has a value of 100. Scores above the benchmark illustrate the gradation of firm customer loyalty (advocates and valued partners) and those below the benchmark illustrate the gradation of a fragile or deteriorating customer loyalty (habitual or convenience purchases).To obtain a ‘valued partner’ rating a service provider must exceed the ‘valued partner’ benchmark. This is achieved through a company-wide commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience. It requires that service providers demonstrate exceptional customer satisfaction to earn the firm loyalty of their customers. NTT Com exceeded the benchmark in: innovation; purchase consideration; first purchase; contract renewals; service selection; and growth from customer satisfaction.

NTT Communications won 4 categories at the World Communication Awards 2017

TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and international communications business within the NTT Group (TYO: 9432) announced today that it won 4 categories, including Best Global Operator, Best Wholesale Operator, Best Enterprise Service and Industrial IoT Award at the 2017 World Communication Awards (WCA) held on Nov 28 2017 in London.

NTT Com is named the Best Global Operator for the second year in a row. According to the judges, “NTT Com picked up the Best Global Operator thanks to its global reach, service and technology innovation, improving financial performance and solid customer service,” NTT Com’s “position of leadership in customer satisfaction was the telling factor” added another judge.

Best Wholesale Operator is always a closely-fought contest and NTT Com received this category for the second time. The judges praised NTT Com for the depth of factual detail in its entry and the level of transparency on its routing policies.

It is the first time for NTT Com to receive the Best Enterprise Service. NTT Com’s SD-WAN Service Portfolio received this award. “Built on its long-track record in enterprise services and its global footprint, NTT Com’s innovative SD-WAN Service Portfolio brings something new to corporate customers,” said one member of the judging panel.

Industrial IoT Award is a new category for 2017. “NTT Com rightly puts the emphasis on security and scalability for any IoT solution that’s going to work in advanced industrial environments,” said one of the judges, while another noted that “a focus on security has enabled NTT Com to win the most demanding customers.”

NTT Communications Won 3 categories at Asia Communication Awards 2017

Launched in 2011 by Total Telecom, ACA recognizes the companies and individuals driving the success of the Asian based telecom industry to a global audience. A panel of telecom experts selected winners in 18 categories.

NTT Com was named Operator of the Year for the third time. The award recognizes that a provider demonstrated a strong service portfolio, investment in network and service development, a growing and satisfied customer base, and execution of a clear and ambitious strategic plan. “Many telcos have tried to transform their business and have ended up going backwards. NTT Communications on the other hand is inching its way into the new digital world,” said one judge.

Wholesale Operator of the Year is one of the most fiercely-contested at the Asia Communication Awards and NTT Com won this category for the second year in a row. NTT Communications Named Champion in Frost IQ: Asia-Pacific Data Center Service Providers, 2017

Frost & Sullivan evaluated 12 major data center service providers in Asia-Pacific region, who fulfill the following two criteria: (1) Operates data centers in at least two countries or more in Asia-Pacific, and (2) Generated data center revenues from Asia-Pacific of more than US$60 million in 2016. Based on these, Frost & Sullivan plotted the respective vendors on the Frost IQ matrix. The key criteria evaluated in positioning companies on the matrix are: revenue market share, product/service strategy, people and skills strategy, ecosystem strategy and business strategy.
