For Immediate Release
NEW YORK – December 11, 2017 – NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the information and communications technology (ICT) solutions business within the NTT Group (TYO: 9432), today announced that it has been named a Leader in both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) quadrants by Information Services Group (ISG), a leading global technology research and advisory firm, in the firm’s ISG Provider Lens™ Cloud Services – US Quadrant Report, published November 30, 2017.
NTT Com was also named a Rising Star in SAP Services and a Contender in two other quadrants: Public Cloud Infrastructure Consulting & Implementation Services; and Public Cloud Infrastructure Managed Services. ISG did not evaluate NTT Com in one quadrant, Public Cloud Brokerage Services. Across these six ISG Provider Lens™ Cloud Services’ Quadrants, ISG evaluated 45 companies. NTT Com was one of only three with capabilities in five or more quadrants, while sister company Dimension Data was one of the others.
“We value ISG’s recognition of our leadership in cloud infrastructure and unified communications, as well as the momentum behind our SAP services,” said Katsumi Nakata, Senior Executive Vice President, NTT Com. “In their report, ISG also draws attention to our capabilities in cloud consulting, implementation and managed services. Very few companies are diversified enough to offer that entire suite.”
In its Cloud Quadrant on IaaS, ISG points to NTT Com’s enterprise cloud capabilities, sizable customer base, and solid reputation in managed hosting and managed security services. Regarding NTT Com’s strengths in UCaaS, ISG underscores NTT Com’s experience with large enterprises and ongoing investment in UCaaS capabilities and partners. NTT Com’s status as a Rising Star in SAP Services derives from its SAP-enabled data centers, managed service model, large pool of specialists and strong partnership with SAP and Virtustream. While these quadrants focus on the U.S. market, ISG counts as strengths NTT Com’s global sister companies and extensive infrastructure footprint, which includes 140-plus Tier-3 data centers and a worldwide data network reaching 190-plus countries.
NTT Com’s broad menu of cloud services, on display in the ISG Provider Lens™ Cloud Services’ Quadrants, simplifies IT management for many large enterprises. The sourcing advisors who create ICT enterprise solutions also value this kind of portfolio, which ranges from consultation and implementation to infrastructure to applications.
NTT Com’s inclusion in ISG Provider Lens™ Cloud Services – US Quadrant Report is based upon information submitted to ISG. Vendors are evaluated and positioned according to a transparent ISG methodology.
