Job Description

Virtela is looking for a creative graphic designer with up-to-date knowledge to interpret our corporate vision needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. Requirements

  • 3+ years of graphic designing experience
  • Knowledge of the full adobe creative suite. Including some flash and video production software.

  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas. This is key.

Jr Linux System Engineer – Denver

Position: Microsoft System Center Engineer/Administrator

 

This position provides engineering and administration support for Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 components. The candidate selected will design, deploy and administer a new System Center 2012 R2 solution focusing on SCCM, SCOM, SCORCH, VMM and Service Manager. The candidate will also assist in the maintenance and operations of existing servers and IT systems.

 

Scope of Work

 

The Microsoft System Center Engineer is primarily responsible for designing, deploying and providing day to day operational support for the System Center infrastructure. They will also mentor and train system administrators on said solution, assist with the administration of existing Microsoft enterprise solutions as their skill sets allow and provide occasional end user desktop and office automation support.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Design, deploy and maintain a SCCM 2012 R2 infrastructure
  • Design, deploy and maintain a SCOM 2012 R2 infrastructure
  • Auditing of hardware and software inventory on servers and workstations throughout the enterprise using SCCM
  • Creating SCCM reports for use by Helpdesk and operations personnel to assist in maintaining workstations and servers.
  • Developing SCOM dashboards to integrate into SharePoint
  • Assist with maintaining existing Microsoft servers and solutions; including their physical components
  • Provide occasional end-user desktop assistance
  • Report to the corporate IT Manager and provide regular status reports and updates

Required Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience working within a technical operations 24×7 production environment with complex high availability environments.
  • Knowledge of LAN and WAN monitoring systems including setup up and troubleshooting large scale networks.
  • Experience using Open Source tools, Unix/Linux, and Routing and Switching technologies is a must (Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel technologies is preferred).
  • Scripting experience with Perl, Ruby, Shell, and SQL.
  • 5+ years hands on experience with network/systems management concepts, processes and standards (e.g. SNMP); capacity/performance management and tuning; of network management systems is required
  • Has previously Implemented tools to pull real time performance analysis and network performance statistics such as uptime, usage, Faults and alarms and multitude of other network performance indicator and statistics
  • Good experience in network report and alarm automation.
  • In depth technical knowledge of network event and alarm management concepts, in the design of redundant and high-availability NMS solutions, and the tuning and optimization of NMS systems is required
  • Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a production data center and Internet (ISP/ASP) supporting Network Operations Centers is preferred
  • Any Java experience is preferred but not mandatory.
