Pre-Requisite

  • Worked as Product manager on MPLS, Cloud and other mainstream Data Networking products
  • Working experience with Global Sales and environment
  • Delivering against challenging time frames either alone, or as part of a team
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills for C-Level clients e.g. CIO, CTO, CFO

Responsibilities

  • Product manager in Mumbai, India will have to do product life cycle management to support changes and adding features in the existing products.
  • Make sure any changes are being reflected and available in all systems and process starting from Sales to steady state (Ops).
  • Documents must be updated and sales must be trained as necessary.
  • Update or maintain service description documents
  • He has to closely work with engineering teams for new or existing products
  • Help in productizing some of the customized solutions that we have provided to customers.
  • Create Product collaterals, presentation and training materials
  • Involve in event management activities for participation of Virtela in conferences or other global events
  • The role involves helping & managing Global Bids\Proposals\RFP\RFI responses & solutioning
  • Need to be mobile and prepared for international travel
  • Business planning for regional strategy & backbone network infrastructure
  • Review and ensure partners SLAs/KPIs matching with product SLA/KPIs
  • Involve in standardizing pricing
  • Release rate cards as and if required (for Broadband VPN, CPIA port pricing etc.,)
  • Business planning for regional strategy & backbone network infrastructure; Build Business cases for new pop proposals / or to remove a pop
  • Lead BA function for Pricing, presales, access & procurement
  • Help in Forecasting of capacities for Backbone upgrades by working with sales & engineering teams

Training and Certification Required

Senior Associate / Manager – Procurement – India

Pre-Requisite

  • Experienced and skilled buyer/procurement specialist/negotiator to own the responsibility of handling all vendor purchases, maintenance and support contracts, and 3rd party provided services for all hardware, software, or system maintenance for a fast growing global managed network solutions provider
  • Experience in procurement/purchasing in Telecommunications industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Cost negotiations and procurement;  Spot negotiation on “smaller” and day to day purchases of hardware and software or any other procurement activities like infrastructure, remote hands/installs, facilities, IT or marketing materials etc.,   Execute end to end RFQ/ RFP/ sourcing process.
  • Negotiate pricing and discount structure with Field Services/Installation vendors and manage vendor selection for procurement, provide reporting on costs of installations, provide bill validation support to finance, etc.
  • Need to deal with OEMs like Cisco, Juniper, Blue Coat, Firepass, Citrix, Fortinet, etc on a daily basis. If required, providing support to Sales Team on Pre-Sales and Post Sales opportunities by developing a Price book and pricing for different BOMs.
  • Initiate local or alternate sourcing activities.
  • Liaise with all Virtela offices for their procurement requirements and track it.
  •  Inventory Management:  Ownership on devices in Virtela; asset mgmt systems, ensure they are accurate with NMS, and something we are charging for (Cisco, Juniper, all others).
  • New vendor development:  Supplier analysis, evaluation, certification and management.  Develop supplier’s base strategies and manage market exploration and benchmarking process.
  • Ongoing process of finding regional Systems Integrators for installs and remote hands.
  • Manage Supplier Performance:  Maintaining score card of suppliers for their support, service, price points, responsiveness etc., Manage suppliers base to achieve competitive cost, quality and delivery performance.
  • Maintain close liaison with suppliers on availabilities/capacities, readiness and material supply.
  • Involve in process improvement of procurement.  Manage and suggest   systems/tools/automation required for procurement.
  • Managing training aspects of the hardware/software that is being purchased.
  • If required, prepare, validate and get commercial approvals of CAPEX and OPEX proposals.
  • Working on cost reductions related to hardware and software or any other procurement activities.  Ensure maximum savings in new order placements or renewals.
  • Managing T&Cs / agreements/MSAs with vendors.  Negotiating all contracts and legalities associated with it. Negotiating payment terms best suitable for the company.
  • Maintenances:  To ensure we are buying maintenance on the correct list of devices and not losing any money.
  •  Warrantees: maintaining and negotiating better warrantees.
  •  RMAs: repair and replacement management.
  • If required, deal with shipment/delivery related issues OR operational issues of procurement.
  • Reports: Need to maintain MIS for these activities.

Position Overview

The Global Account Manager is responsible for driving overall growth and account  management of an existing customer base by increasing account penetration, increasing sales revenue, and tracking and managing delivery and support issues. The focus is on  building relationships with existing client contacts & partners by identifying new sales opportunities and exceeding customer expectations

Pre-Requisite

  • Strong experience in account management and sales with multi-national enterprises & partners
  • Currently selling Managed Network Services, Infrastructure Management Services, Hosting Services and Cloud-based Services a must
  • Service Provider or System Integrator or Telecommunications experience a must
  • Proven track record of farming, creating new opportunities, and growing customer relationships within existing customer base
  • Pre-sales / bid-team experience including creation of SOWs, presentations, response to RFI/RFP etc.,
  • In depth knowledge of Managed Network, Security and IT infrastructure Management Services
  • Solid understanding of Global WAN Services (e.g., MPLS, VPN, Internet Access, Security)
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills to negotiate long term business contracts

  • Lead business development activities with our clients and channel partners to identify customer opportunities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works with network engineering, product marketing, and other teams to design operationally efficient and supportable customer data networks.
  • Based on detailed knowledge of the Virtela network recommends specialized services and applications to customer’s technical staffs and management.
  • Analyze customer’s needs; develop long-term strategy, based on knowledge of customer’s current network, equipment and business, of how Virtela services can competitively meet customer’s communication needs.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding preparation of, review, and presentation of technical proposal for customer on how customer’s network and Virtela services can be integrated including implementation process and any modifications that are required to ensure complete plan is feasible within cost, time, and environment constraints.
  • Demonstrate full technical knowledge of customer’s business and related communication needs by advising Virtela team and customer technical staff as appropriate on enhancements, modifications and/or options in voice and data communication integration.
  • Assist with tender, quote and bid responses for assigned projects or accounts.
  • Support Virtela sales staff and account managers as needed to properly manage the sales process.
  • Assist in managing the account for escalations post sales.

Technical and Other Skills

  • Knowledge of the data networking / IP VPN technology and applications

Pricing Manager – India

Location: India

The Pricing Manager will be responsible for the creation and management of the pricing of all solutions and products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interpreting, validating and managing customer requirements – speaking with sales teams and other technical experts to understand, anticipate and meet their price needs.
  • Work closely with sales managers and solution architects to determine cost effective solutions and provide suitable quotes or pricing proposals.
  • Pricing of network, security and Cloud services.
  • Optimize network and costs to provide cost effective services.
  • Negotiating contract terms to meet both client and company needs.
  • Lead effective price reviews on large opportunities with cross-functional divisional staff teams.
  • Maintain quality and consistency of price quotes.
  • Keep track of market price benchmarks. Determine appropriate list prices and discounts based on analysis of market and competition.
  • Provide management with weekly or monthly reports including win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.

Professional Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Telecom experience, 3+ years must be in international network deals.
  • BE/B-tech and / or postgraduate qualifications
  • Excellent Communication skills. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Background in network & security Solutions, planning, design and pre-sales.
