Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the shipping and procurement specialist are to interface with both internal and external customers and complete requests for procuring, shipping, and receiving hardware.  The position is also responsible for maintaining records of activities and maintaining stock of frequently used hardware and associated adapters and cables.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ships and receives customer equipment around the globe.  Tracks shipment from the original hardware order to on-site delivery.
  • Maintains Virtela’s inventory of all network equipment, cables, adapters, and miscellaneous hardware.  Ensures accurate data within the inventory tracking system.
  • Monitors critical equipment inventory stock levels, and orders hardware to maintain minimum levels.
  • Provides e-mail shipment notifications to both internal and external customers, and updates Virtela’s system with pertinent tracking information.
  • Creates and tracks equipment purchase requisitions in internal systems and upon receipt of the associated PO, tracking Purchase Order Requests to individual vendors, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Escalates with equipment vendors and shipping companies when necessary.
  • Researches global customs issues and works toward delivery resolution.
  • Works to recover equipment after a customer disconnect.  Maintains records of all non-recovered equipment and notifies our finance group when equipment is returned.
  • Assists the Finance Department with hardware billing reconciliation.
  • Functions as a team player — works with Provisioners and Engineers as part of the overall service delivery process.
  • Must be able to adapt to a fast paced environment while maintaining focus on deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of shipping / receiving experience.  This must include both domestic and international shipping with experience in dealing with local customs offices when issues arise.
  • Telecom equipment knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Skilled in operating Microsoft Office Applications and familiar with standard office equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Works independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Maintains confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee must frequently lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. The travel required for this position is minimal.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Director will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team delivering high level human resources services to create a world-class organization and to help meet the strategic business goals of the Company. This includes the implementation and the coordination of processes, policies, and programs regarding organization development, on-boarding, talent acquisition, talent development, retention, training and development, compensation strategy, legal and ethical compliance, and employee relations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a start up environment, global human resources experience with a concentration in Asia (India and Philippines), and passion for providing world class customer support to internal customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Acts as HR Business Partner for Senior Leadership by providing guidance and counsel on variety of issues that include but not limited to – employee relations, conflict resolution, interpersonal communications, policies and procedures, and country, federal, state, and local law.
  • Designs and aligns HR initiatives with business strategy and objectives to drive the human resources function and performance. Areas will include talent management through succession planning, training and development programs, and other programs that enhance the knowledge of the employee base and fill in identified talent gaps.
  • Develops recruiting strategies such as staffing programs to identify internal and external talent for all levels within the Company.
  • Ensures the Company is in compliance with country, federal, state, and local laws with policies and procedures. Monitors legal compliance, develops policies and procedures, and makes recommendations on policies and procedures for senior leadership.
  • Oversees payroll, hiring, and termination procedures by monitoring and implementing procedures for continuous improvement, legal compliance, and consistency across the Company.
  • Assesses the competiveness of Company’s programs and practices against similar companies, markets, and industries to ensure the Company continues to attract and retain world class talent.
  • Designs, implements, and champions performance reviews, employee recognition, employee benefits, and employee compensation to help attract and retain world class talent and motivate employees.
  • Leads and evaluates the Human Resources Department for continual improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of the group. Provides individuals within the Department guidance on professional development with recommendations on training and continuing education.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist roles including employee relations, compensation and benefits, leadership, talent management, organization development, and legal compliance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience supporting a global employee base with the ability to think and deliver on a global level.
  • Must have experience working in the Telecommunications (or related) industry and working in start-up environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR best practices and principles including but not limited to employment laws, governmental regulations such as EEO, ADA, ADEA, FMLA and FLSA (US).
  • Highly organized and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven leadership with the ability to inspire and lead others.
  • Ability to interact and present HR initiatives, metrics, programs, etc. with all levels within the organization including occasionally the Board of Directors.
  • GPHR or SPHR is preferred.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Ability to work long hours as needed.

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the provisioner are to interface directly with the customer and complete requests for new service. The position is also responsible for maintaining records of activities and coordinating service order activities with ILEC’s, CLEC’s, IXC’s, remote hands technicians and other internal groups. As this is a global company, the provisioner must also be able to communicate with international customers and providers and work within the local time zones.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provisioning of E1, E3, DS1, DS3, OC3, OC12, DSL and Metro Ethernet.
  • Place orders with LECs & other carriers, both domestic and international.
  • Collect & disseminate all support details with companies to order process (LOAs, CFAs, DLRs, ASRs, etc.).
  • Utilize provisioning, ordering and inventory software.
  • Verify that confirmation and designs are received for the LECs and operating companies in a timely basis.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates to both customers and internal groups.
  • Escalate when needed.

  • Interfaces with customers through lifecycle of circuit implementation including completion of test and turn up.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to be responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process. The ideal candidate will be primarily focused on recruiting word class talent for all levels within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Effectively executes recruiting for both technical and non-technical positions to support business needs.
  • Manages candidates through the entire recruitment process to ensure a positive experience for candidates and high return on investment for Company.
  • Takes initiative in developing job descriptions with hiring managers by understanding the skills and background needed, the role’s impact for the business, and the ideal fit for team and Company.

  • Experience recruiting for technical positions with specific technology backgrounds, including but not limited to, Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, VPN, Internet Access, Security Services, LAN/WAN.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Existing network of candidates is highly preferred; expertise with Social Media tools.
