Channel Sales Account Manager – Denver

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead business development activities with our clients via channel partners to identify customer opportunities
  • Develop a large list of sellers within the channel partner’s sales organization
  • Leadership role in tracking opportunities, and working with internal groups to assemble the appropriate technical/business team needed to convert the opportunity to a win
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding objectives
  • Ability to multi-task and handle rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • Strong ability to negotiate commercial arrangements and facilitate contract negotiations with partners
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, especially for working with both commercial and technical audiences
  • High level of self-confidence and self-motivation with demonstrated ability to work remotely and independently
  • Customer-focused, friendly, helpful, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales activity
  • Willing to travel frequently (50%+)
  • In depth knowledge of Managed Network, Security and IT infrastructure Management Services
  • Thorough knowledge of third party distribution, channel development and commercial sales in the telecommunications and IT services outsourcing disciplines
  • Experience selling WAN, network security services and IT infrastructure management services to IBM or has worked at IBM selling WAN, network security services and IT infrastructure management services

Professional Qualifications

  • 5 years of total sales experience preferred
  • 3 years of experience selling data networking, security and/or network monitoring solutions preferred
  • 3 years channel development/sales experience preferred
  • World-class skills in interfacing with customers and is willingness to go the “extra-mile” to assist them
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong understanding WAN, LAN, network security and IT infrastructure management
  • Strong understanding of Ethernet and IP networks
  • Comprehensive understanding of the IT infrastructure management market segment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to include resources, priorities, and timelines

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing or computer science related field preferred
